About

“Not all who wander are lost”

       – R.R. Tolkien –

An adventurer or explorer – driven by curiosity rather than adrenaline. Many different things attract my interest.  This led to adventures in scuba diving, motorcycles, and travel.

Photography and art appeared at many points along the way. My artistic grandmother tested me in every form she knew without success, but prophetically told me that “The artist always comes out eventually”. My first camera, a Nikonos IV, saw much use while diving in Nova Scotia. Working in the technology field led to travel throughout the world for work and the incidental exploration of places and cultures.

This developed into travel articles for magazines, along with photojournalism. I became published both nationally and internationally. My photography developed with the articles to help tell the story. I am a visual person and use the photographic medium to best express myself.

My goal is not to just capture a moment in time, but to share the experience. I hope to leave the viewer with the same wonder I had during the creation.

“Photography for me is a passion, a mixture of science and art that creates magic. If a day goes by without photography, it feels incomplete.”
